Life as a baby is SOOOO hard!

Sleeping, eating, pooping, and playing is way too much for James to handle as you can see in this photo.

The window.

I never thought I would say this but I'm jealous of the vertical blinds in our living room. Yep. Blinds. We have rattles and colorful keys and toys that make music but instead of paying any attention to those toys, James has given almost all of his attention and affections to our blinds. They fascinate him. Actually all light seems to captivate him but the blinds are definitely his favorite. Sometimes he pays more attention to them then he does me. During feedings I catch him lovingly looking at the blinds instead of me! I'm pretty sure he smiles at the blinds too. I'm so jealous.

Bathtime!

Bathtime for Baby James! He was pretty content until I took him out and the cold air hit his skin. Then he was in hysterics until he dried off. Here are some photos from the experience.

I loved that he held his binky in his mouth the whole time.

No peeking.

Poor kid was a little confused about what was going on.

This last photo is my favorite. He is so adorable.

Just some photos of James

Asleep in his swing.

Just doing what he does best [sleeping not pooping].

Baby Shower 7.19.08

Two weeks after baby James was born it was time for our baby shower! Lisa, Tara, and Mandy put together a fantastic shower for us. We couldn't believe how great it was. We were really blessed. Here are some photos from the event.

James got to meet his great grandmother.

Look how tiny he is here. He was just over 7 pounds in this picture. He is so much bigger now!

Sorry it's been so long. For some reason Blogger.com wouldn't let me log in for about a week. I think it might hate me.

I finally got David to let me take a photo of him with James. Okay... He really didn't have a choice as I caught him while he was feeding James. I'm just glad he smiled for me.

James is now an astonishing ten pounds and getting bigger every day. He is making all sorts of baby noises these days. We are still waiting for our first real smile. We can't wait.
